So good that we went twice

We checked out this branch of the Ain Soph chain in Kyoto recently and we loved it so much that we ended up doing both dinner and then brunch there the next day! The menu here is entirely vegan but even if you're not a vegan I wouldn't let that deter you from coming because the food is fabulous. The matcha pancakes in themselves are worth a repeat visit - they aren't cheap (1800 yen!) but are flavored with white chocolate and are gluten free as well as being vegan. It's a good place to keep in mind if you have visiting friends or family who might have dietary restrictions. Away from the sweets there are plenty of savory options available here as well. Curries, paella, taco rice, soups and more fill the menu. Everything is beautifully presented as well which is always nice - we eat with our eyes as well, after all! They're open from 11.30am until 9pm daily.
