A Not So Welcoming Chef

Looking for a place to eat during the State of Emergency when you’re on the road, can be very challenging. A lot of places are closed or have shorter business hours like Umioyaji. When we saw the sign at Umioyaji that it still had an hour and a half before it closes, we decided to go in. We then asked the waitress if they are still accepting customers. She happily said yes and took us to our seats. However, we saw the chef complaining that they are already closing and that the waitress shouldn’t have let us in. But she argued that there’s still time before the last order. Because of that, my husband and I were in a hurry to order our food and we felt quite unwelcome. The waitress was nice to us though and the food was good. Too bad that the chef was not in a good mood.
