A tiny balcony overlooking a half-dozen train lines

When I change trains at Nippori Station, I always budget a few minutes to see the "Train Museum". It's a tiny balcony on Shimogoinden Bridge at the north exit. Walk north across the road, and you'll find a tiny balcony overlooking the train lines. From the balcony, you can spot the Tohoku Line, Yamanote Line, Shinkansen, Takasaki Line, Utsunomiya Line, Joban Line, and Keisei Line trains. I visited on a holiday, and spent about 10 minutes train-spotting. On a wall above the lines, you'll see a mural with depictions and names of the lines.
