CoCo Curry? No, Go Go Curry! I was just introduced to this curry spot that a friend recommended that they enjoyed better than CoCo Curry House! Their gorilla mascot is definitely what interested me. This location is about a minute walk from Okachimachi Station. I had gone with a group of friends, and we were split up because of the limited two-seater tables, which was no problem since we had an even number. Unlike Coco's, we ordered from a machine. There were many different options, however I went with my usual Chicken Katsu Curry in a size small. The curry sauce they use is a little darker than Japanese curry that I'm used to, and it also had a perfect spice to it. It was also a little thicker. I found out that this is what you would call "Kanazawa Curry". Since the curry is thicker, the utensils they used was a large fork or spork. I wasn't too big of a fan of that, since I prefer a spoon regardless. Other than that, I did like the stainless steel bowl that the curry was served in. At first I wasn't sure if it came with rice, however the rice is hidden under all the sauce. If you're extra hungry, they have a World Champion Curry weighing in at 2.5kg!!
