Displays, rest stop, kimono and armor rental
On the English and Japanese tourism info websites, this spot is labeled as Ashikaga Machinaka Yuugakukan. Whatever it's called, it's easy to spot on the corner of the street leading to Ashikaga Gakko historic site. I recommend dropping by to see two examples of textile looms with meisen kimono fabric, an important product of the town. There's a place to sit and rest your feet (the town's streets are paved with "ishidatami" stone). You can rent armor and helmets (kid's sizes, too) and meisen kimono. The hall is open every day except the 3rd Wednesday of each month and admission is free.
