Hidden gem of a cafe

Nico is a wonderful cafe in Niigata City's Kita ward, but it's not the easiest to spot. It's set back from the street a little, in what looks like a fairly residential building, so if you didn't know it was there you'd probably walk or drive right past it. The interior of the cafe has a very minimalist feel to it, with lots of exposed wood paneling and simple decor, but I liked that a lot and it fit the vibe well. The menu is fairly simple, but the things they offer are done well. Coffee, tea, cake, juices, and a lunch plate that comes with the bread of the day and several side dishes make up the items on offer.
