Reliable, decent Starbucks
One thing that the center of Chiba city is certainly not lacking is branches of Starbucks. More and more of them keep popping up. The branch at Chiba Chuo, however, has been there for a relatively long time. In some ways, it’s unremarkable, but it is quieter than most of the other Starbucks in the area. Located on the ground floor of the Keisei Chiba Chuo/Hotel Miramare building means it opens to the outside rather than being inside a shopping mall, and that gives it the added benefit of longer opening hours. You will find everything you could hope for at a Starbucks, with the usual range of food and beverages. There is a variety of seating both inside and outside, the latter one still sufficiently undercover, and decent Wifi. While the staff do not speak much a English, I did note that they seemed very much accustomed to dealing with foreigners with limited Japanese, which is probably due to its proximity to not just the hotel above and across from it but also a decently-sized Japanese school nearby. It’s a small branch, but it’s got a friendly atmosphere to it that makes it a nice place to grab a coffee if you’re in the area.
