Stylish clothing and hideaway coffee shop

On Dainichidaimon dori, the street through the historic neighborhood in Ashikaga, has many coffee shops. You could miss this one if you only looked in the shop window. The front is a women's fashion shop with stylish seasonal clothing, with items produced locally. Behind the shop is a cozy cafe with four sofas for seating. I had a cup of iced coffee which was served with a tiny rich and sweet cookie. The proprietor is very friendly, adores New York, and can tell you a lot about fashion, New York, and the charms of Ashikaga. We spoke Japanese together. The shop is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed Wednesdays and Thursdays.
