Niigata Station's Coffee Oasis

Tried the seasonal grapefruit separate tea, and I loved the contrast of the tart sweetness and the mild bitterness of the Earl Grey tea. You can either mix it up or savor the distinct flavors entirely separately. The addition of grapefruit slices as part of the drink was a nice touch, but both my partner and I got frozen slices, so we had to wait to eat them. They were very literally frozen solid. Didn’t try coffee this time, but I have in the past, and the overall taste of the coffee tends to be a bit later than other chain stores, and the Chai is always perfectly spicy and rich. The staff was kind, especially considering how much business blows through Niigata station. The seating is ample, and there are some study/stay friendly seats that can be used for longer amounts of time, and some had outlets to charge digital devices. Parking is all pay because it’s the station, but you could certainly take the bus or a train and not worry about it at all.
