市川市行徳ふれあい伝承館 Denshokan

Tourist info, light meals, and lots of atmosphere

Along the Gyotoku Kaido, an old route parallel to the Edo River there are a few heritage buildings, some open and others closed. The Denshokan is a repurposed shop house with exposed beams. There are illustrations of the antique shop houses so you can spot them on the road. This "kyukeisho", a rest stop, is a cafe, and tourism information center. Walking maps, leaflets, and event posters are placed on the tables. You can also pick up some handmade souvenirs here. The cafe has seasonal menus with kakigori, amazake, and sweets. Denshokan appears to be open Thursday to Sunday.
