Niigata Racecourse

Well-maintained venue, but ethically grey

Horse racing is pretty popular in my home country, and in Niigata you can visit horse race events at certain times of year at the Niigata Racecourse. The venue itself is very well maintained and can accommodate large numbers of people, and it's also the only racecourse in Japan where straight-line horse racing takes place. As I've gotten older though I have questioned the ethics of horse racing quite a bit, so I am on the fence about whether I can in good conscience recommend it.
