Awesome hiking place!
This is the highest mountain in the Tokyo area; Mt. Kumotori. It’s 2017 m high. It’s possible to reach the base of the peak from the Okutama Station area. There are many trails leading up the mountain, and also many campsites along the way. Also, it’s possible to stock up on supplies at a mountain hut as you go up the peak. Around Okutama Station you can find many onsen. I recommend taking a soak once you come down from the mountain.
