Nice spot to visit in the Machida area
Shikisai no Mori Yakushiike Park is a beautiful park in the Machida area on the outskirts of Tokyo, and I definitely recommend paying it a visit if you're nearby. It's particularly nice during the autumn period when the leaves are changing, and it's also right next to the Machida Squirrel Garden which is also a bunch of fun if you have kids in tow. Keep in mind that the park here does have opening hours, it's not 24/7 like some parks are.

Well-maintained public park
It’s a lovely park. It looks unattractive from the outside but when you enter the park, you will be astonished at how beautiful it is. I went on a weekday so It’s not crowded, but since the park is quite wide so most probably it doesn’t get busy as compared to parks located in the city center. In the middle of the park is a lake where you can enjoy watching turtles and ducks. You can cross the wooden bridge and take the winding paths that will lead you to historical buildings. It’s very tranquil. At the time when I visited, it was early autumn so most of the flowers have already withered. So I supposed it’s good to check the park calendar before going to enjoy seasonal flowers.
