This branch of Matsuya in Nagaoka isn't particularly large compared to some others I've visited, but it's clean and there's ample parking outside making it easy to stop in. Service is fast and friendly so no complaints there. They have both table and counter-style seating with separators, so it's not awkward at all even if you're eating alone.
