Pokemon Center Shibuya

A destination in and of itself

If your kids are anything like mine, they are mad Pokemon fans, and I think living in Japan fuels that to a degree. I won't lie, though -- my husband is also a big fan of the franchise, so if you're a grown adult and love all things Pokemon I would also recommend the Pokemon Center Shibuya to you! It honestly feels like a destination in and of itself, with a ton of merch available, cool displays, and even the Pokemon Design Lab where you can create your own t shirt. Highly recommended -- it would even be awesome if you have friends or fam visiting from abroad and want to take them there.
