Easy to navigate, plenty of services
Kashiwa Station is a hub for Joban Rapid and Local lines, and the Tobu Noda Line, also called the Tobu Urban Park Line. The adjacent stations are easy to navigate. The Tobu line is a "switch-back", with one island platform connecting Kashiwa to Omiya, and the other to Funabashi. Passengers can transfer at ground level, walking on the passage on the northern end of the platforms. The Joban lines are easy to access, too, either via the central or south ticket gates. On the Joban Rapid platform, there is a "machiaishitsu", a glass-walled waiting room decorated with motifs depicting sights around Teganuma, the large marsh between Kashiwa and Abiko Cities. The station area has a high walkability score, with the station mall complex, shopping streets (the main one closed to car traffic on Sundays and holidays). Look out for Kashiwa Reysol logos. On game days, you can hear the crowd at the stadium from Azuma-cho at the east exit.
