Takamatsu Art Museum

Nice museum an easy walk from Takamatsu Station

The Takamatsu Art Museum is located around 10-12 minutes on foot from Takamatsu Station, and it's worth a visit if you're staying in the area. Their permanent collection has a lot of postwar Japanese contemporary art, and they also have a variety of Kagawa lacquerware and metalwork on display, which is cool if you want an insight into the prefecture's art and craft scene. The museum also has a range of special exhibitions throughout the year, covering a variety of different topics. Those are worth checking out on their website before you visit, to see if there's something specific you'd like to attend. Adult general exhibition to the museum is only 200 yen, too, which I think is super reasonable.
