Matsuya

Quick, easy, and cheap

Matsuya is a chain of gyudon restaurants that you can find in many parts of Japan, but this relates specifically to the store in Mitsuke, Niigata Prefecture. Because it's a stand-alone store there is plenty of parking right out the front, and there's also a drive-thru if you don't have time to dine in. You order at an electronic kiosk when eating in, and there's the option for English to be selected via the touch screen. Food is served quickly and it's tasty and inexpensive too.
