Classic department store, display of omikoshi

Omiya's Sogo-Seibu department store is one of ten in the Kanto area. It's a classic department store with a basement food hall, a "depachika" called Everyday, and a range of restaurants on the 9th floor. I recommend dropping in at the west entrance outside Omiya Station to see a magnificent example of an omikoshi on a long-term exhibit there.
