Boosted by the idol group
The Nogizaka station used to be very unkempt looking, but ever since the idol group Nogizaka46 used the station name in their name, it has been looking much better! Reportedly, volunteers now keep it clean and tidy and even put up some posters from time to time. I didn't notice it myself, because I am not familiar with the girl group, but supposedly the station uses the group's music in their station melody.

Conveniently located Chiyoda line stop
Nogizaka Station is a conveniently located stop along the Chiyoda Tokyo Metro subway line, and it offers good accessibility to a number of the city's museums (21 21 Design Sight, the National Art Center Tokyo) plus other cultural attractions like Nogi Shrine. If you like the group Nogizaka46 you also often find advertising/displays related to them around the station.
