A classic McDonald’s staple with two seasoned beef patties, melty cheese, pickles, onions, ketchup, and mustard layered in a soft bun for a simple, satisfying bite.
The good
The McDonald's Double Cheeseburger is a classic offering by the burger chain. I think it is a staple on their menu in every European country as well as many other countries around the world that has a McDonalds. The exception being countries where they don't eat beef such as India and Nepal. There is a reason why the double cheeseburger is widely available and has remained a staple on the menu from the very beginning - it delivers reliable comfort with its two juicy patties and generous melt of cheese. The balance of tangy pickles, diced onions, ketchup, and mustard creates that familiar McDonald’s flavor people return to
The not so good
I liked it more in my youth than I do now. It's still pretty good, but there is something almost artificial about the taste, I can't put my finger on. Perhaps, it's just my taste buds have changed too much over time! But I would choose other burgers before it time and time again. I also don't like that it now costs 480 yen. (When did it get so expensive!?) This is supposed to be one of their cheaper, more affordable options. There are still places you can get a whole lunch for one coin, i.e 500 yen, so 480 yen just for the burger is inflated.
