The good
I only have this Futon Dryer one whole day and already I am questioning how I have lived and survived without one of these for the last 20 years! And it would seem I got it at a bargain price. In order to write up this review I went into my Amazon account to check what price I paid (5293 yen) and saw that it is now 7900 yen! I love a good bargain. I have actually never had a futon dryer before, although they are a common household appliance in Japan. Honestly, I chose it mainly on the price coupled with the fact that it comes with fixtures so that you can dry shoes with it too. Something very useful during the rainy season, which is fast approaching. I also like that i can do two futons at once. Again something very useful during the rainy season when I won't be able to air my futons on the balcony as normal.
The not so good
Not so much a negative about the product, but a gripe about Amazon Japan. Recently I've noticed they no longer list the place of production on the products they sell. They also have very little information about the manufacturer. I like to know about the manufacturer as well as where it is produced before purchasing something. I found it very hard to obtain any information about the brand "Onrio", which made me nervous, but I decided to go ahead and buy it because the price seemed good. Moreover, they had next day delivery and I was in need of the product.
Former nickname was "Saitama". Changed it to save confusion on place review posts! Irish, 20+ years in Japan! I also write on my personal website: insaitama.com
