The description

Kameida Seika's Happy Turn rice cracker snacks are coated in a sweet-and-salty powder. The "happy powder" is boosted to 250% for this version. It's sold in convenience stores.

The good

I tend to prefer savory over sweet snacks, but caved in to Happy Turn, the popular rice cracker snack. This 53 gram bag I found at a 7-11 convenience store lured me with the claim of 250% paudaaaa! The package says the Happy Powder flavour is unstoppable. Well, what itmeans is you can't stop eating them. The formula is soy sauce flavoured rice crackers, fried in fat, and a heavy dusting of sugar, and flavour enhancers. The crescent-shaped crackers hold the Happy Powder well. You'll be tempted to lick your fingers.

The not so good

Heavily seasoned rice crackers are always tempting. Happy Turn, the popular variety from Kameida Seika is a long-seller. This one has a lot of flavour. For a cheap snack, it's pretty good. Unlike similar seasoned rice crackers that come wrapped in yet more plastic, these are loose in the bag. One reason I don't buy the rival brand more often is the excess plastic packaging. I liked these but I hate to say, I didn't feel so good after eating these. I think my system can't handle that much Happy Powder.
