Grateful for blue skies after days and days of snow

Yesterday and today, the sun has been shining out here in rural Niigata. That probably doesn't seem like anything to write home about, but we've had some really heavy snowfall this season. There are so many days where you just wake up to grey skies and the heavens dumping more of it down, so when you wake up to blue skies it feels like something of a miracle.


We're meant to get four additional days of snow after today, so I'm trying to enjoy what I can while I can. As you can see in the picture below, I wasn't kidding when I said we've had a lot of snow out here. It gives you a bit of context when you see how it looks against a building for scale!
