The description
This product is the newly-released Marron & Crème Chantilly Ice Cream from Haagen-Dazs. It's a limited time offering and is priced at 351 yen including tax.
The good
This Marron Chantilly-inspired ice cream is a fun seasonal treat from Haagen-Dazs that brings the autumn feelings before the weather has decided to cooperate ;) The product uses two different types of chestnut (roasted Spanish chestnuts for a bold flavor, and Italian chestnuts sweetness and texture), and the flavor feels indulgent and refined. The addition of mascarpone in the milk ice cream adds a really nice creaminess, and it does feel like a premium product with convenience store accessibility which is a win in my book.
The not so good
As I always mention with limited-time, seasonal sweets, if you find yourself enjoying this ice cream you only have a short window to get your hands on it. I would suggest stashing a few away in your freezer if you have the space and can justify the cost if you really love it. Also, if you don't like texture in your ice creams of choice, this won't be the best option for you. Overall though, if you're a chestnut lover then I think you'll like this one! Worth trying at least once if you can justify the price point. It's great quality but I just wish it was a little more budget friendly.
