Snowy weekend in Kanto

It has been another exciting weekend here in greater Tokyo with another round of snow (and some very cold temperatures). 

I appreciate that people in western Japan may be thoroughly sick of snow, but the novelty has yet to wear off here, particularly since we have been having an especially dry winter here in eastern Japan. Flurries started on Saturday morning here in Chiba and it didn’t really let up from there until mid-Sunday afternoon. Enough snow had accumulated yesterday for my kids to try their luck building a small snowman, but it was nothing compared to the blanket of white we woke up to this morning.

It’s been fun while it was lasted, but I’m relieved it seems to be letting up now. I’m a little apprehensive about tomorrow’s commute to work, especially since my workplace has been rather quiet in that front so far, but let’s see what happens?!
