Yellows of spring

Amid all the pink blossoms at this time of year, I am also a fan of the vibrant yellows! These are some of my recommendations in Niigata if you also like the bright yellows of spring.

Uwasekigata Park

If you like your yellows but you also want to enjoy sakura season at the same time, this is somewhere I would recommend! Super beautiful when both the cherry blossoms and the nanohana are in bloom. 

Niigata Prefectural Botanical Garden

Mimosa to me is pretty under the radar, and it's probably a little harder to track down than some flowers. I see it quite a bit at the Niigata Prefectural Botanical Garden, though, so I would highly recommend a visit there if you enjoy it as well. They remind me a bit of wattle, a similar "fluffy" looking yellow flower back home.

Gosen City Tulip Festival

Although the scenery here isn't strictly yellow, there are lots of yellow tulips to enjoy. I definitely recommend a visit out here in spring if you are a fan of all things tulips, because the scenery of them is really impressive (over a million flowers to enjoy!)
